Freedom of Speech is a cornerstone of a free society. I oppose any effort to limit speech. On the local level, I will support anyone's effort to have their voice heard by the commission.  I may not agree with your perspective but I respect your right to be heard.

The right of citizens to keep and bear arms is a fundamental right. The founders enumerated this right in our constitution to stand as a deterrent and an antidote to tyrannical government. I will re-introduce a resolution to make Greene County a 2nd Amendment Sanctuary County. The measure was previously defeated in 2019 . I believe a government official who fails to stands for the rights of the people has no business in public office. 

Government must be held accountable to the people.  This requires transparency.  The people must be informed of the issues, actions and decisions made in their name. If elected, I will provide information regarding upcoming commission meetings. I will allow for public comment and questions via a Facebook page in order to hear public opinion. I will also post my votes and reasoning behind them.

The county budget should always be balanced. Any surplus should be guarded for a rainy day. The reckless spending and printing of money by the federal government has and will result in inflation. We must prepare for the effects that will be felt  locally. Inflation will cause the operating costs of county government to increase. The taxpayers will feel inflation in their household budgets. The solution can't be more taxes.

The lifeblood of any community is a strong local economy.  We have seen a steady decline in our population and our economic vitality. Local Government can serve to attract business, industry, and manufacturing to our community.   County government should  keep property taxes low,  as well as, ensure adequate infrastructure and zoning regulations are open to business. We must  work to provide education and training opportunities for citizens aligned to the needs of prospective employers .

Taxes are not the entitlement of government. It is the duty of government to be good stewards of the people's money. This starts with the proper use and allocation of existing tax revenue.  Can waste be cut? Is there a more efficient way to serve the public? All revenue spent should be seen as an investment with an expected return for the people. If taxation has no apparent benefit for the people it shouldn't exist.
